Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology stands as a self-financing engineering institution, situated along Kundrathur’s main road, approximately 15 kilometers away from the bustling city of Chennai. Moreover, it provides several postgraduate programs such as M.E. in Applied Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, Embedded System Technologies, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Engineering Design, M.C.A. (Master of Computer Applications), and M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration).

In its commitment to research and advanced studies, the college hosts two Research Centers, one within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the other within the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. These centers have gained recognition from Anna University and facilitate M.S. through Research and Ph.D. programs under the university’s umbrella. Impressively, five of the undergraduate programs have earned accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) twice and are currently in the process of accreditation.

In the academic year 2010-2011, the Trust embarked on a significant endeavor by establishing the Sri Muthukumaran Medical College Hospital and Research Institute in Chikkarayapuram, located near Mangadu in Chennai (Postal Code: 600 069). With the esteemed approval of both the Medical Council of India and the Central Government, and affiliation with the TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Chennai, this institution is categorized as a Telugu Minority Institution.

Today, the hospital and medical college in Chikkarayapuram have earned recognition as exemplary institutions, garnering the admiration of medical experts and government authorities at the state and central levels. The college building, a towering structure with ground plus six floors, encompasses an impressive 15,600 square meters of built-up area.
